This painting draws inspiration from vintage paintings of ships at sea, and the ethereal sensation of water and sea-foam floating through the air. Making this image was a meditative process. It began with a long, organic line drawing stretching across the horizon. Over the next few layers, I poured different pigments into large pools of water, allowing them to float and intermingle before drying naturally.
